Job Description
Performs fitting and welding procedures to assemble large filter units. Uses sanders to finish metal surfaces and connections.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n - Operates various hand tools, such as pliers, vice grips, hammers, squares, chisels, and screwdrivers, and power tools, such as grinders, drills, come-a-longs, saws, hydraulic knock-outs, and hydraulic jacks, to fit filter units.
\n - Uses TIG welding to put together parts of a filter unit.
\n - Reads blueprints to know how to fit metal parts together.
\n - Measures and uses math skills to accurately place parts and drill holes.
\n - Operates a crane or hand truck to move filter units.
\n - Performs minor maintenance on the welding machines.
\n - Performs housekeeping duties in the welding area.
\n - Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements
\n - Must successfully pass an AAF TIG Welding test.
\n - Must be capable of learning to build any AAF product from a blueprint with minimal assistance.
\n - May be required to obtain a crane operator's license.
\n - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
\n - Various welding skills are needed.
\n - Skill is needed to be able to operate hand and power tools.
\n - 3 years experience in a welding environment preferred

\n - Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
\n - Requires the ability to read and follow blueprints and product drawings and to interpret welding symbols.
\n - Measurement skills are required to meet drawing specifications.
\n - Must have the mathematical skill needed to be able to square units, and figure dimensions
