Goodwill Industries of Wayne & Holmes Counties is seeking an energetic, hands-onStore Managerto support the daily operations of one of our retail locations. This role helps lead our retail team, ensures excellent customer service, and drives production and salesall while supporting Goodwills mission of empowering individuals and strengthening our community.

Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Leadership
- Lead a safe and profitable retail store by following operational policies and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Supervise, engage, and support employees involved in sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, and production.
- Manage and coordinate completion of mandatory Orientation, Safety, Customer Service, and 1-Touch training.
- Train employees and consumers on organizational policies, procedures, and Hazardous Materials/MSDS.
- Review shipments, ensure merchandise is accurately priced, rotated, and stocked to proper levels.
- Support special merchandising programs, events, and production goals.
- Attend management meetings and training as needed, lead and facility monthly staff meetings.
- Ensure completion and compliance with other duties assigned by leadership.
Customer Service & Safety
- Provide excellent service to customers, donors, and community members.
- Assist donors and truck drivers with loading and unloading donations.
- Respond to emergency situations and take appropriate action.
- Maintain store cleanliness, including restrooms, floors, windows, fixtures, and displays.
Cash Handling & Reporting
- Operate and troubleshoot Point of Sale systems (register, scanner, printer, computer).
- Clear registers, complete cash counts, reconcile cash sheets, and prepare bank deposits.
- Complete accident/incident forms accurately and in a timely manner.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest height; stoop, bend, twist, squat, and work overhead.
- Perform material handling tasks using tools such as a double stacker, sprayer, pricing gun, tape gun, barb tagging gun, and PPE.
Regular Duties
- Maintain positive working relationships with staff, donors, customers, and leadership.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Follow all safety rules, policies, and established procedures.
- Represent Goodwill in a courteous and professional manner.
- Educate customers and the community about Goodwills mission and programs.
Requirements
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
- 5+ years of retail supervision or management experience.
- Strong math skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Technology skills preferred (Microsoft Word & Excel).
Additional Requirements:
- Valid drivers license and proof of insurability, or ability to provide reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of background check.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
- Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
