Research Support Assistant

The Research Support Assistant provides essential administrative support to the department by ensuring the timely set-up and data entry of subagreements or other assigned tasks. This role serves as a back-up resource for the Sponsored Research Transactions team and works in conjunction with them on daily processes related to the position.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the position:

• This OPS position initiates the subagreement budget entry process by creating and establishing budgets in the Bulls iResearch awards system and the FAST Financial system and also sends email notifications related to the subagreements. This process is critical to ensure that the paperwork is processed in a timely manner so that investigators can begin or continue research with their collaborators.
• Performs other entry-level research administrative support or technical assignments associated with contract or grant funded sponsored projects as assigned, in the interest of departmental objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent, with one year of data entry experience in an office or administrative support position. Higher education may substitute for the experience.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

Senate Bill 1310- The Florida Senate is conditional upon meeting all employment eligibility requirements in the U.S.

This position requires a level I background check.

Salary: $15.00 per hour
